Work crew in soil erosion program in Harlan County in 1934. Forest Service in Denver furnished some trucks to transport work personnel from camp to work areas and to bring lunch to the field. An earth dam in Harlan County with a low brush structure in spillway to control eroding the earth. Spillways were made wide to spread the water as thin as possible. Farmers were urged to watch erosion ditches and try to start grass in the spillways.
