Title:

Willa Cather, Charles Douglass Cather, and Mary Miner
Description:
A sepia, scallop-edged photograph of young adults (L-R) Mary Miner, Willa Cather, and Charled Douglas (Douglass) Cather posing with their bicycles, leaning on their handlebars in front of some trees and a dirt road. Mary and Willa wear white blouses with dark skirts. Cather also wears a short top hat, tie, and long boots. Douglass sits on his bike, both hands on the handlebars, wearing trousers, a button-up top, suspenders, and a hat. They all look toward the camera. There are brown stains on the photograph, possibly from glue or water. Douglass and Willa were siblings, and Mary Miner was a childhood friend as well as the prototype for Julia Harling in Cather's novel "My Ántonia."
