R.17. Novion-Porcien. Explosion of a boche munition. Novbre 1918. In the foreground a wire fence lines the upper edge of a steep bank of caved-away earth. A dirt road runs perpendicular to the bank, and ruined buildings--some with only their facades remaining--line both sides of the road. Smoke rises from an explosion along the road in the distance.
