First aid station in Chemin des Dames
Description:
C.31. Craonne. Chemin-des-Dames a first aid station in the ruins of this glorious city. Aug. 1917. To the left of center three soldiers stand under a makeshift shelter constructed of a cloth canopy held up by salvaged lumber. A flag with a medical cross symbol hangs in the front corner of the shelter.
