This garment was owned by Ilona Beck (1918-2013) a professional dress maker, the donor's mother. Beck was born in Czechoslovakia and was a Holocaust survivor. She lived most of her life in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Structural Design:
Notch collar neckline. Two red ties (attached with topstitching at upper chest) serve as center front closure. Self fabric inserts extend shoulder width at upper armscye. Full cut straight sleeve. Blouse also features hem slits at left and right side seams. Stitched pleats at upper center back bodice. Wrap skirt closes with yellow fabric covered button and button loop. Oversized patch pocket at right side front hip. Ruching at skirt waistline. Waistline finished with self piping.
