The Ak-Sar-Ben Coronation and Scholarship Ball was established in 1895 to recognize individuals in the region for their civic endeavors. Black and pink Oscar de la Renta Ak-Sar-Ben gown. Black velvet bodice with sheer black yoke and sleeves. Full, pink satin gathered skirt with two rows of black lace trim at bottom. Pink net underskirt for fullness. [For Ak-Sar-Ben see General Comments]
