The Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Omaha, Nebraska. The Ak-Sar-Ben Coronation and Scholarship Ball was established in 1895 to recognize individuals in the region for their civic endeavors. Object Description:
Two piece Ak-Sar-Ben evening ensemble. Sheer brown wrap jacket/blouse with fitted waist and large portrait collar worn over nude camisole. Extremely voluminous sleeve pleated into cuff. Floor length, full iridescent gold/amber skirt of slub silk (dupioni?). Pleated waist. Skirt has net between skirt and lining to increase fullness.
