Bound in blue cover 46 x 36, with title "The George Washington Atlas, United States, George Washington Bicentennial Commission". From the preface of the George Washington atlas: Washington made his first map in 1747 and his last one in 1799 ... At least ninety-two of his maps and related drawings have been reproduced in this atlas ... these maps of George Washington's are related to landscape gardening, city planning, exploration, transportation, and the art of war, as well as to the surveying of land in connection with the acquisition of property ...
