Panorama of 29 cm high and about 5 m long, on 5 attached sheets engraved on wood and colored by hand, wrapped around a cardboard tube, and protected by a black percaline cover with the golden title in a rocaille style frame. Grand panorama scrolling published by the newspaper L'Illustration, showing the boulevards of Paris, the Place de la Concorde instead of the Bastille, taking in the boulevards of the right bank (Madeleine, Capuchins, Italians, Montmartre, Poissonnière, Bonne-Nouvelle, Saint-Denis, Saint-Martin, Temple, Calvary-Girls, and Beaumarchais) and depicting the facades of theaters, monuments, and buildings on both sides of the roadway; the names of the transversal streets are indicated at the bottom of each half-panorama. The panorama is completed by a view of the Place de la Concorde at the beginning, and the Place de la Bastille at the end.
