This edition not listed by Fordham. A reissue in portable form of John Ogilby (1600-1676) "Britannia," first published in 1675, and by John Senex, London, in 1719; revised in 1757; published by R. Wilkinson in 1780. This is a likely model for Christopher Colles' "A Survey of the Roads of the United States" published in 1789. Originally published by Senex in 1719 as "An actual survey of all the principal roads of England and Wales". This road survey includes engraved title page, 8 pages of text, table of the cross roads and index to cities, towns, and villages, with 102 copper plate maps of England and Wales and all cities, towns and village, showing place names, churches, houses, rivers, windmills, parks, woods, forests and places of interest throughout each road. Relief is shown by hachures and pictorially. "Price 7s. 6d."
