Col. Frank Dorn (1901-1981), later brigadier general, Frank Dorn was an artist, writer and aide to Gen. Joseph Stilwell, the man who during World War II commanded the U.S. and Chinese Nationalist resistance to Japanese incursions into China and Burma. This is a different printing of the map and booklet from our other copy of 1936, see 7960.000. The map shows the Nazi flag for Germany in the diplomatic quarter, a change from the other issue. Also, there are some changes to the text.
