A wonderful piece of history, colored lithograph on cardboard hemispheric map of the globe shows 4 sides. It was a new way for the U.S. to view its position in the aviation age. Folds flat or stands up, Registered in U.S. Patent Office, Pat. No. 2333162. "This Fold-O-Globe drawn in perspective presents the first important innovation in map making in 400 years...a continuos map projection showing at a glance the Countries of the World and their Flags. Note the adjusted equator which gives the illusion of Earth's curvature. Axis controlled areas shown in solid red. British territory shown in light orange". Shows the true relation of one continent to another and distances. Prime Meridian is Greenwich. Includes notes.
