Volume 3 published in 1811, in 382 pages, with folded view, diagrams, tables and maps of the triangulated survey. All text and images are printed as black and white. Bound in green cloth cardboard covers. This is the third part of Trigonometrical survey of England and Wales, published in 3 volumes. Vol. 1. An account of the trigonometrical survey carried on in the years 1795, and 1796. Vol.2 was published in two parts in 1801 and 1804 and is entirely the work of William Mudge, First published annually in the Philosophical Transactions, by Captain William Mudge, F.R.S. and Mr. Isaac Dalby. ... These important works provide a contemporary account of the early years of the Ordnance Survey, focusing on the methodology of triangulation and the equipment used during those first enterprises. The papers were read before the Royal Society in June 1795 and May 1797 respectively. The works were subsequently revised with two additional parts added, all published under a slightly different title between 1799 and 1811.
