This is an atlas of 15 sectional maps at 1:1,000,000 scale that if joined would form a map thirteen feet long. The lithography is well executed by P. Cadot i Ca. (see Tooley's dictionary of mapmakers rev. ed.). Pissis also published a physical atlas of Chile titled "Geografia Fisica de la Republica de Chile" in 1875 (Phillips, 5144). Map is without color. This copy is lacking map #12, but a copy of map #12 from a duplicate atlas is inserted. Atlas is bound in quarter leather dark brown cloth covered boards with "Mapa de la Republica de Chile por A. Pissis. Ramon Serrano M." stamped in gilt.
